We are very excited to be announcing another one of our annualHorn Trip celebrations! On Saturday, June 14th in recognition of Motorcycle Experience’s 25th anniversary, we will be holding our very own Pride Ride – Horn Trip down here in Prince Edward County where most of Motorcycle Experience gets shot and produced. Now for those of you who don’t know what we’re up to, this event harkens back to previous rides we’ve held down here. Those first couple of events we held were called “horn trips” in honor of an old County tradition when locals down here in Prince Edward County would pile into a car on a Saturday night and head out for a fun run.
We too have held “runs” down here, and we’ve used the rides as an excuse to get together, chit chat, talk about the TV show and also raise a little money for charity. Previous events have helped raise funds for our local 3 bed hospice. A very worthy charity indeed! But this year, because Toronto is hosting World Pride starting June 20th, and just like Motorcycle Experience, Casey House is celebrating 25 years, we thought, why not hold a Horn Trip the week prior to World Pride Week and raise some funds for Casey House in Toronto?
If you want to join us on this ride be sure to have $20 in your leathers or glove box. We’re going to take it and pass it along to the Casey House folks. Sound good? So… plan to come on down to the County! Folks with four wheel vehicles are always welcome! We meet in Picton at the fair grounds around 10:30am and ride out at 11:00am. Gather up your friends and plan to make an afternoon of it. We’ll stop somewhere along the way around 1:00 and grab a bite to eat.
You’ll see some great roads, have a chance to win some great door prizes and you’ll raise a little dough for a very worthy cause. Mark your calendar “Pride Ride – Horn Trip” and we’ll pass along more details in a few weeks.
Keep your feet on the pegs and your right hand cranked!
