Part ELEVEN | Viva Las Vegas Wrap

So for the past fifteen
years, Norm Wells of BMW motorrad and myself have been loading up our
motorcycles and setting off to explore a variety of destinations all across
North America. This year, winter’s early arrival prompted us to bail on our long-standing
four day Manatoulin Island ride.  Instead
we rolled the dice and gambled at the last minute on a couple of cheap flights
to Las Vegas, Nevada.  Fifty minutes
after touching down, with helmets in hand we laid down our credit cards and
rented a couple of BMW motorcycles from Eagle Rider Motorcycles.  Then over the next three days we explored the
wonderfully scenic and sometimes very twisty roads that are within an easy ride
of the strip.  Then on our final day of
riding, the big payoff came when we discovered, near the Arizona/Nevada state
line, the mind blowing Eldorado Canyon.
And then, a couple of hours later, hit the jackpot again in Good Springs
when we grabbed some lunch at the very haunted Pioneer Saloon.  All in all, Nevada had delivered big time on
the Ultimate Ride scale, but alas, as with all rides, it was time to shut ‘er
down.

PROUD SUPPORTER OF

The mission of the TELUS Ride For Dad is to raise funds to save men’s lives by supporting prostate cancer research and raising public awareness of the disease. Our goal is for men to continue to be there for their families and friends for years to come. The parade of vehicles grabs the attention of the masses and the media on ride day, the research helps find hope for the future and the awareness has the potential of saving men’s lives today.
