Part FOUR | SUGAR’s RESTAURANT

The loose plan for this trip was to ride out of Sin City, into the desert in a different direction each day. All we needed to execute this task with some degree of accuracy was a map. After stopping at two gas stations on day one and another two the following morning, we failed miserably in our efforts to secure a map of the surrounding area. So as we rode east into the desert on highway 167 on day two into our Ultimate Ride, we promptly got lost and managed somehow to ride along both sides of Lake Meade before eventually getting our bearings and reaching our destination; the oldest national park in Nevada, the Valley of Fire. After exploring the park for a couple of hours, we discovered we had worked up a reasonable appetite, what with getting lost and all, so we headed off in search of “Sugar’s.”

The mission of the TELUS Ride For Dad is to raise funds to save men’s lives by supporting prostate cancer research and raising public awareness of the disease. Our goal is for men to continue to be there for their families and friends for years to come. The parade of vehicles grabs the attention of the masses and the media on ride day, the research helps find hope for the future and the awareness has the potential of saving men’s lives today.
