Hi Everyone,

This week we’re heading into episode two in the repeat of our entire 2016 broadcast season on TSN. In the meantime, we’re getting prepared to start shooting for 2017.

A couple of brand new Honda’s – CB1100 and VFR1200 –  were dropped off here at our production facility earlier this week and we plan to shoot a couple of road tests next Tuesday. My plan now is to pre-ride both motorcycles over this long weekend. I know, “it’s a tough job.. eh Dave?” Anyway, I’m really looking forward to riding both bikes and I will file a full report next Friday. Meanwhile, as we prepare to go back into production, I’m happy to report that professional riding instructor, Jenn Martin from the Georgian College rider training program in Barrie, Ontario, will be back on Motorcycle Experience for 2017. That’s right, as we speak, Jenn is down south in the USA heading to West Virginia, on her annual Girls Ride run. I know from the Facebook postings that she and her gal pals are enjoying some great weather and good times out on the open road right now… But when she gets back next week, we’re going to put Jenn to work as she’ll begin shooting her popular “Shifting Gears” segments. Jenn really knows her stuff and has tons of motorcycle riding and training experience. She’s a major asset and it’s really great to have her back on the show!

Hey, I quickly want to remind you that we will be once again throwing a party for fans of our TV show at the end of September and you are all invited to ride out and join in the celebration! That’s right, our Prince Edward County based motorcycle television show will play host on Saturday, September 24 at the Hillier Creek Estate Winery just south of Trenton, Ontario in the heart of the County’s wine region. As you know, our long running TV show, which is shot primarily in Prince Edward County has been on the air for over 27 years and as the show’s presenter, I’m looking forward to welcoming everyone down in the County from 8:30am to 3:30pm. Once again the Honda Canada demo ride crew will be on hand providing motorcycle demo rides and party favors. Plus this year I’m happy to announce that we’ve partnered up with the local, Eastern Shield chapter of the Canadian Vintage Motorcycle Group and they will be on hand with a large vintage motorcycle display.

Meanwhile Episode 2 is another jam packed edition of Motorcycle Experience. My riding buddy Norm Wells and I jump a flight to Las Vegas, Nevada, rent a couple of R1200GS’s  and blast out to the Hoover Dam – all before suppertime. Then during our “Red Adventure” segment, editorial contributor Toni Sharpless will take a look at some luggage options for your next Adventure while on Shifting Gears, our resident riding expert, Clinton Smout, tackles stopping on sand. Senior editor Colin Fraser will stop by to discuss shopping for a used set of wheels while looking back at a 2006 Ducati 749. Hope you like the show!

Keep your right hand cranked,

Dave
