Well Motorcycle Experience got some great news earlier this week – TSN is so pleased with our televised magazine series thus far this summer, that they’ve invited us to come back next spring for our 28th season. This is all very exciting because it means we can get back out and start shooting and riding in August, as opposed to waiting for the green light in September and shooting in October. The other cool thing is that TSN has asked us to deliver the show next year in both HD and 4K video. This is tremendously exciting because 4K video just delivers super sharp imaging and really nice quality pictures. Twice, in fact, the resolution of High Definition. I’m quite sure you will be impressed.

And speaking of Motorcycle Experience.. this next week I’m grabbing one of our high definition cameras and heading off to Whitehorse for their Telus Ride For Dad. I’m totally stoked about that road trip. Talk about an adventure. My host, ride organizer, Mike Thorpe has a whole pile of weekend events planned around the Saturday ride itself, including a second 2 hour ride out to Skagway on the Sunday. I can’t wait. I’m looking forward to meeting everyone and shooting some video that I’ll be sharing upon my return. There are some 40 communities across Canada hosting a Ride For Dad right now so please sign up and join a ride near you. You will be glad you did.

Meanwhile, on this week’s edition of Motorcycle Experience, we will kick off the show by asking long time viewer, Blair Smith, to sample Harley-Davidson’s Road Glide Ultra. Then Norm Wells and I will continue our Ultimate Ride down in Las Vegas, Nevada. This week on day 3, we kick off the best day in our ride, hands down. On Shifting Gears, SMART riding instructor Clinton Smout looks at just how dangerous intersections are and Senior Editor Colin Fraser is stopping by to discuss the art of shopping for a used set of wheels, all the while looking back at the Honda CBR 125R.

Keep your right hand cranked!
